I have heard tiny people shouldn’t wear these at all (especially those of us who can’t wear heels.) I always think it’s too bad because they are so cute!

    • Samantha says:

that was meant to be a question, btw, not a statement…like this: Is it true that tiny people shouldn’t wear these at all? :)

    • Elsa says:

hey Samantha! not true… the floor length hem of maxi dresses add amazing height to any frame. what you’ll have to be careful about is overall fit and volume…keep volume down and look for closer fit styles. you will most likely have to consider alterations when your petite though because you have a greater risk of clothes overwhelming your shape,

  2. Elsa, darling, are you reading my mind? I was searching for the right maxi dress and can’t find one that doesn’t envelop me. I have same q as Samantha…what brand, style do you recommend for petite women? Love the post, lady!

    • Elsa says:

Lisa! hey love! it’s been forever :) i don’t have a particular brand i recommend because they really do run the gamut, but i will say that usually the higher end labels are your best bet because of the extra tailoring they put in. i suggest going into a bloomies, sak’s or nordstrom and trying on a few different brands/styles. now is a good time to get them too because most summer items are on sale ;)
