Definitely important. You have to be true to your own style and preference. You have to have your individuality. Without personal style, the world would be a pretty boring place.

  2. Stephanie W. says:

Oh hellz yeah! To me, having my own personal style is super important because it’s how the world see’s me. I want to be perceived and seen for exactly who I am, so my style needs to directly reflect that.
It’s also a reflection of how I see myself. It’s one of the ways (and I personally think a huge way) that I can express myself. Plus, when I wear the outfit that best reflects who I am…I feel A-mazing!!

  3. Amanda says:

I think it’s very important (first impressions, anyone?), but many of us (myself included) don’t always take the time to add that extra dose of personal style into whatever we’re wearing. I think it requires a bit of planning ahead.

But I must say, when I DO plan ahead and do some wardrobe strategizing, the feeling I get is SO worth the extra 5 minutes I spent picking out accessories, etc.!

  4. Louise says:

Personal style (having it and expressing it) is incredibly important. It is a big part of the way you present yourself to the world. I agree that when I take the time to coordinate and plan an outfit, I feel unstoppable. My insides and my outsides match (as silly as that sounds).

  5. Kelly says:

I think that at times, clothes are a bit of a uniform, or costume and you have to just wear what is appropriate for the situation, not necessarily your choice of style. i.e. going to court, job interview for a bank, that sort of thing. However, I do think that most of the time you will feel most comfortable in your 2nd skin – clothes that honestly reflect your personal style. Even if it is just a small detail that you have to sneak in. And now this has me thinking…if we send a message to the world through our “costume”, then perhaps we should take an honest inventory of that message from time to time and see if it is a true choice or if we have been influenced in some way, and perhaps it may even reflect some aspect of our life that we are unbalanced in…let’s say for some women not thinking enough of themselves.
