the cold!
no, it doesn’t matter that i grew up in edmonton, canada… i’ve just never been able to get used to these dry, frigid temperatures.
and anyway, i was born in africa, so i’m pretty sure that by nature my body is anti-winter.
if you know me, than you know that i complain (like a lot), during this time a year… i guess it helps me cope 
but just a few weeks ago i discovered 2 winter accessories that have really been a complete life saver!
they’ve helped me stay warm during this crazy deep freeze nyc is in AND look cute at the same time… not always an easy thing to achieve.
so without further adieu, introducing…

oversized fur ear muffs – now i know ear muffs might come across as an obvious winter staple. especially if you’re like me and are looking for a way to keep your ears and face warm, without messing your hair up in a big ol’ hat.
but if i was going to own a pair of ear muffs, they needed to be sexy! which is exactly what these oversized ear muffs are!

fleece lined tights – who knew that heaven could exist in a pair of tights? slip these suckers on and be prepared to fall in love! these tights are luxuriously soft and totally warm.
you can wear them with a dress/skirt in the winter. or they’re thin enough to be worn underneath clothing too (which is what i’ve been doing a lot lately).
they come in 2 style options; tights and leggings.

Girl, it’s not even that cold here but I want those ear muffs and those leggings. ‘Cause even when it’s 50 degrees, I’m freezing! Great post!

ha! pretty sure the only time you’ll get to wear the ear muffs are when you’re in Utah and NYC!
Elsa, I’m in South Louisiana and you’d think I live in Alaska with my insulated tights under my jeans, one of those headband wraps that cover the ears, AND my robe thrown over my clothes!!!!
You are not alone in despising the cold. There are times that I’ve felt like I’m going to shut down if I don’t have plenty of warm sunshine. I’m guessing I wouldn’t survive the elements up there, lol.
