your masterpiece has the dreaded ugly elastic band and you’re crushed.
yes, this has happened to me… too many times to count!
and i’m willing to bet its happened to you too.
there’s no better way to ruin a beautiful garment than to throw an ugly elastic band on it.
it makes things look cheaper & completely distorts fit.

as shown in that last blue maxi skirt, american apparel is a big culprit with these elastic waistbands, so let the record show that you have been forewarned.

I KNOW!!! I purchased a lovely Michael Kors top but the band was just so annoying. Last night I had a brain storm and removed the elastic and now its perfect! Fortunately for me the fabric and design was one that removing the elastic did not unfavorably change the style.
